Oil free Haryana Style Green Channa curry

Ingredients:-

  • 2 packets of frozen green channa
  • 2 medium sized onion – chopped
  • 2-3 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 cups of soy yogurt
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • Chilli powder to taste
  • 1 tsp amchur powder
  • Water
  • Cumin seeds for tempering

Process:-

  • Make ginger garlic paste
  • In a pan dry roast cumin seeds
  • Add chopped onions and ginger-garlic paste and saute for 3-5 mins. Add 1-2tbsp of water if needed
  • Add beaten yogurt, spices, water and cook on a low flame for another 3-5 mins
  • Add frozen channa, add additional water if needed and simmer for another 10 mins.

Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro
