Ingredients:-
- 2 large white or yellow onions – cut and separated as shown
- 1 cup of oat flour
- 1 cup of soy milk
- 1 cup of gluten free bread crumbs (available at whole foods or prepare it at home with gluten free bread)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- Salt to taste
Process:-
- Cut the onions and separate it as shown
- In 2 separate bowls prepare the coating
- In 1st bowl mix oat flour, soy milk, water, salt and pepper to a watery consistency (it should not be 2 watery either)
- In a separate bowl – mix the breadcrumbs, salt, chilli powder, garlic powder
- Now take each individual slice of the onion, dip in the oat batter, then coat it with breadcrumbs.
- Place it on a baking tray and bake it at 375F for 10-15 mins – flip it in between
