Oil Free Vegan stuffed karela (bittergourd)

Ingredients:-

  • Wash and slit the karela in the center (dont spilt it)
  • 4 tbsp kala channa besan
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp coriander-cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp amchur powder
  • Chilli powder to taste
  • Salt to taste

Process:-

  • In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients
  • Then fill up the karela’s
  • In a microwavable plate transfer all the stuffed karela’s, cover it with a microwavable lid and microwave it for 7-8 mins. This process helps in the cooking process and also keeps the karela moist
  • Transfer the microwaved karela to a pan, cover it with a lid and keep cooking on low flame for almost 20 mins. Keep changing the position of the karela’s every few minutes.

Enjoy as a side dish with roti or brown rice.
